The Pacific Cultural Professional Exchange is a capacity-building initiative connecting cultural heritage professionals from six Pacific island nations with the Australian Museum.
Hosted by the Australian Museum as part of Australia now: Pacific edition, the exchange brings participants together for a two-week intensive professional development program focused on collections management, conservation and curation, while creating opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing.
Grounded in the Tongan principle of tauhi vā (relational reciprocity), the exchange strengthens enduring relationships between Australian and Pacific cultural professionals, supporting shared stewardship of cultural heritage and deepening regional connections through mutual learning and collaboration.
