The Oceania Pacific Performance Arts Residency is a tri-nation partnership between Creative Australia, Creative New Zealand, and the Oceania Centre at The University of the South Pacific in Fiji.
It will bring together artists from Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, and Fiji for a shared six-week performance residency in Suva from 1 October to 12 November 2026.
The inaugural residency participants are Emele Ugavule (Australia), Nina Nawalowalo ONZM (Aotearoa New Zealand), and Ulamila Buiravonu Bulamaibau (Fiji), who will develop new work and deepen regional connections through a program focused on climate change and issues of importance to Pacific communities.
Through Pacific-led collaboration and cultural exchange, the residency strengthens creative networks across the region and supports enduring relationships between artists, communities, and cultural organisations.
