The Fijian Flying Circus, Fiji’s first contemporary circus, combines aerial acrobatics, live drumming and Indigenous Pacific storytelling in a world-class production by VOU, a social enterprise supporting sustainable careers for Pacific artists. The show is scheduled to tour Darwin, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney from August 2026 to January 2027.
Fusing breathtaking aerial acrobatics, gravity-defying stunts, and traditional live drumming with cheeky island humor, the show brings Indigenous Pacific mythology to life. Following the magical adventures of a young girl named Loma amidst forest spirits (veli) and giants, this high-energy, world-class production celebrates the shared warmth, resilience, and joyful spirit of the Pacific. Under the big top – for a moment – we are one people, sharing laughter and magic moments.
VOU is a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to creating sustainable careers for Pacific artists and preserving cultural heritage through innovative storytelling. They provide 20 scholarships annually to Fijian Youth which enable them to get a tertiary level education in the creative arts and a full-time career as an artists. They are able to sustain this model through the proceeds from the tickets they sell from their VOU shows.
